Thank you so much for making these calendars! My mom bought one when visiting the Bahamas in 2004 or 2005. Now every year I order one online as a surprise. She will never forget our trip and she will always be able to close her eyes or stare are the pictures in the calendar and feel a little warmer! - Thanks Heather Seymour, IN
Have just ordered 2009 calendars for ouselves and friends. We lived in Nassau for nearly three years from January 1986. Our very first purchase was your fantastic calendar (which I think was one of the very first editions?). Subsequently we have never missed the opportunity to update each year. We have so many wonderful memories of our times and friends from many of those beautiful islands, and the calendar illustrates them in so many ways. It is a while since we visited and the arrival of the new year calendar always stirs those memories - perhaps next year! Jill and Peter Harrison, England
My... My... My... What can one say about the most beautiful collection of
Islands in the ocean. The calendars truly depicts the character and charm of the Islands that my family has come to enjoy so much over the years. We are fortunate enough to visit at least every other year since the early '80's. How time passes! Eleuthera, Staniel, Abacos....We have been to most all several times and enjoy the out Islands more than any. Thanks for all that you provide in the way of a link to paradise! Capt. Lee, N.C.
As I am reading the 2008 calendar from cover to cover for the millionth time, I can’t ever begin to thank you for the pleasure it brings to my husband and me. We spent many months and many years staying in the village of The Current, No. Eleuthera. We even had the pleasure of helping out in the school when one of the two teachers became ill and the students needed help with their test preparations. We spent two weeks teaching and enjoying every day of meeting the village children. The Principal Teacher, Mrs. Dolores Neilly, became a close friend. Her family designated us "official cuzzins" for life. An honor to us and from then on we wanted to live forever in The Current. However, business called and we moved to Australia, then California. Now one of us is unable to travel, but we do visit your islands through our movies taken for many years of the Bahamian life, our friendships with the village people and now your calendar. Last year we received your calendar from a friend in The Current (our first calendar) and we were shocked that we’d never known of its existence. It is so beautifully Bahamian. The warm colors, the recipes, the friendly verses and the listed religious holidays have our rapt attention. It is a gift that gives greatest pleasure. We can hardly wait for each new month to begin so we can see the next painting and recipes and advice of what to plant or when to fish. Thank you so much for this wonderful talent from our favorite islands. May you always have sand in your shoes and a dollar in your pocket. We will be ordering calendars from now on for our children here who have joined us many times in North Eleuthera. Dorothy and Ron from California
What a thrill to have such lovely watercolors of our favorite places on earth hanging in our homes! Thank You! For over ten years, we have purchased The Bahamian Calendars from Exuma Markets in George Town, Exuma. Since we were live-aboard cruisers, it was a delightful way to send family and friends our Christmas greetings which would last the whole year. Upon our return to the US each year, we were rewarded to see the calendars prominently displayed in their homes. Each one would be personalized with notes and stickers. Our hope was that even though we were far away they would not forget us - and know that we were thinking of them. Thank you for producing such a wonderful gift item to share with family and friends. Kind Regards, Dick & Kathy - White Stone, Virginia
I have been buying your calendars for a bunch of years now and even though my husband and I haven't been back to the Abacos for a few years now, I cannot live without having your calendar! I buy one for home and one for my office and they always brighten my day and remind me to slow down and smile at the beauty of the Bahamas! The recipes are really great too! I try to make as many of them as I can, using a little substitution for items I can't get in Connecticut!! Thanks so much for bringing me happiness throughout the year! God smiles on you!! Susan
I bought 2 copies of your amazing 2008 calendar in a little gift shop at the end of my very first visit to your glorious land last summer! Now, I must buy 8 of them! It truly is the most perfect (and unusual) Christmas gift ever! Kudos to the family, the artists and the cooks! I've marked my "calendar" for August 25 to place my order online. Thanks again and may our gracious Lord continue to bless you and your work! Lynn Geyer, USA
We purchased one of your calendars in the Lyford Cay Tennis Shop a few years back and are ordering for 2009!! We love the refreshing illustrations and recipes!!!
I received your calendar from my dear heart, and I almost was moved to tears. The beauty and contrast of the various locations of the Bahamas islands remind me of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Charleston, SC, ancestral home. Thank you for providing such detail and artistic poetry to the masses.

My dearest friend lives on Andros Island this year she sent me one of your calendars. It is wonderful, beautiful, & absolutely gorgeous. I took it to work to show my friends everyone wants one...so next year guess what they're getting for Christmas. Thank you for all your hard work at making a very pleasant way to get thru the year, who couldn't smile when looking at the pictures.
Thank you again,

p.s. I plan on trying some of the recipes (fudge sounds great )
My husband and I have visited Nassau twice now - in 2006 and 2007. I bought your calendar as a gift to my mom and my in-laws in 2006 and thereafter kicked myself in the butt for not having gotten one for myself. On our visit this year, one of the first purchases I made was five of your calendars. One for me, of course, and the rest for those who I knew would enjoy it as much as I do. I bought them in downtown Nassau but if I had of known that you'd be at the Jollification and that you'd be autographing them, I would have waited to buy them there. Perhaps in 2008 I will get it right! Anyway, thanks so much for creating the best souvenir anyone could hope for from the Bahamas. They are absolutely beautiful.
Thank you! Jeanne Brock -

I have been living in Oklahoma now for 10 years and was introduced to your calendar back in 1999 by my Mother. She now is required to supply me with at least one every year and I cannot tell you how happy your beautiful scenery makes me feel every day. I would like to thank you for the striking images of home and salute you for making me feel proud to be a Bahamian and most importantly a Long Islander. Keep up the good work and give me some more Long Island images.

Hello!
I wanted to add my comments about your beautiful calendar as a frequent traveler to the Bahamas Islands. My husband & I are full time liveaboards from Florida who enjoy our annual voyage to your country and without fail I always purchase my Bahamian Calendars from Dornell's at Government Harbour in Eleuthera. I too, present them as gifts to family & friends who always enjoy receiving them. The pastel colors that capture the essence of the islands, the interesting facts and listing of events & yummy recipes are wonderful reminders of times spent cruising your fabulous chain of islands. Keep up the great work!
Sincerely,
Diane & Steven Koch aboard AURORA
I was introduced to this calendar many years ago from my grandmother Murial and step mother Arlene. They are the best calendars that I have ever had and the workmanship that goes into them is incredible. Keep up the good work and I am glad that I can now order them as I don't get to the Bahamas as I would like.
Thanks, Kym - Florida
Just wanted to let you know that seeing your calendar in a gift shop last year in the Bahamas made me restart a cherished tradition. My now deceased mother used to buy me one every Christmas for several years as she lived on Andros in the late 80's, early 90's. Your calendar now proudly hangs in my little weekend beach house in Florida alongside Androsia curtains and Red Bays baskets!

Love your calendar! I bought your calendar during my visit to Nassau. I love the beautiful pictures as well as the valuable information on the pages. I absolute love it! Keep up the good work!

Hello!
I received my first Bahamian calendar as a gift at Christmas '05 from my husband's brother and his wife after they had vacationed in The Bahamas. I have just ordered the 2007 calendar and will continue to order in the years to come. I have already made a note to order more calendars in November for Christmas gifts; I didn't do that this past Christmas season but will this coming year. I have never traveled to the Bahamas but someday hope to do so. It is a long trip from Nevada, but someday when my husband retires and we have more travel time, we will be there. Happy New Year and thank you for the wonderful pictures each month and the fabulous recipes and other Bahamas facts. I love "plan ahead for hurricane season."

I bought my first copy of your calendars in Freeport several years ago (although I used to be a regular in Nassau). We were visiting our friend who married a Bahamian and moved to Freeport. I've had many happy memories of the Bahamas, and visited almost every year starting in the early 1980's. Your artwork is so Bahamas. I'd like to see some junkanoo included, as well as some undersea life, as both of those have been a big part of my experience. I also keep looking for good conch recipes, especially for conch salad and conch fritters (not to mention cracked conch). Keep up the good work.

I have just put up my 2007 calendar purchased during my latest annual visit to the beautiful islands of the Bahamas! I don't think I could survive the other eleven and a half months without the lovely views of the calendar dreaming of the day I can return at the end of the year! Thank you for all your hard work in making the calendar the success it is for it obviously brings an enormous amount of pleasure to many people.

I came to live in The Bahamas forty years ago, and have flown to most of The Islands. And each new calendar evokes the most precious memories (Georgetown Regatta, tarts and quilts from Spanish Wells, painting the lighthouse at Harbour Island, a coconut grove in Eleuthera, buying Androsia prints from the Birch's in Andros, Nassau my first home etc.). Most of my family have visited over those 40 years and all love The Bahamas. Two of my uncles have painted most of the above, so they have their own memories, but love the paintings you do! I send each branch of my family one, mostly in the U.K., and some in the U.S.A. each year (13 in all). It is a lovely way for them to keep in touch with The Islands and the food! Thank you for so much pleasure over the years - yes I have sent off my 2007's already!

Its that time of year again – the time to buy myself and a special someone your beautiful calendar. I first saw the Bahamian Calendar on a visit back in 1987, and I've bought one every year since then. When I look at the beautiful pictures, I'm reminded of the sunny skies, ocean smell, and friendliness of the Bahamian People. Thank you for continuing your wonderful family tradition.

I bought my first calendar at Albury's sail shop on Man O War island several years ago. I think your watercolors are beautiful and when each year passes, I hold on to the calendars for their beauty and recipes. I think note cards (blank inside) much like the M. D. Anderson Children's Project produces would be a good seller - I'd sure buy them.

The best Christmas present I got last year was your 2006 calendar. We now live in Hawaii but sometimes miss the beauty of the Atlantic. Your pictures capture what I remember of living in Georgetown and Norman's Cay. I'm ordering the 2007 calendar today in case my friends don't give me one. When my "now" husband and I first met on out way to the Bahamas in 2003, we fell in love with your calendar and bought the 2004 one to plan our future visits to each other. (I lived in the UK and he in Florida at the time.) We have just re-visited the Abacos on our boat, 14 months into marriage and the first thing on my list was to find the 2007 calendar as we loved it so much. Wonderful recipes and loved the picture of Hope Town as it brings back many special memories. Planning on ordering a few to send back to family and friends in the UK and also for the family here at Christmas.

I found your calendar in a gift shop while visiting Nassau and love it! I've ordered another calendar for 2007. It's a wonderful way to "visit" the islands every month, even though we only get a chance to travel there once a year. The pictures are absolutely beautiful and bring back wonderful memories of the beautiful islands. Keep up the great work!
Sincerely, Kathleen
Thank you so much for this site. I can go back and visit whenever I like. The calendar is awesome! I absolutely love your 2006 calendar! I was in Nassau in Sept. 2005 for my niece's wedding and my sister purchased the calendars for us. I love the Bahamas too and hope to visit again. You truly do a wonderful job illustrating the islands and its culture.
Thanks, Tennessee 37122
I buy your calendar every year. It reminds me of the wonderful vacations my husband and I took to the Bahamas...and the ones we will take in the future. I enjoy all of the beautiful artwork and recipes also. Please keep it going...
